Baby puree vs. baby led weaning | |
Puree increasing in lumpiness as baby grows is the standard recommendation by most health departments. The baby-led weaning (BLW) movement advocates bypassing purées and allowing infants to self-feed foods in their solid form from the start of weaning. And importantly, ignore any advice given by companies which make money out of baby purees. For example, Heinz recommends starting purees earlier than any health organisation in the world – why? They make more money that way. |
