Hi subscriber!

Educational resources like flash cards are ridiculously expensive and I’m always disappointed with them. So we’ve made some multilingual number flash cards and games (listing all the educational outcomes) for free! Tell us what you think! More to come in future newsletters.

Check out our new kids party games section which gives alternatives to method for younger and older kids and tips for prizes. I’m a big fan of sleeping lions when I want 5 minutes to myself – use this one often to introduce some quiet time into your day! Bliss!

What do you think?

We’d love to hear from you – you can contribute to the website or send feedback on what you’d like to see on Parenthub.

Remember to tell your friends to subscribe to Parenthub eNews, so that they too are always up-to-date with the latest parenting news!

Happy parenting!

Beth :-)

Parenting Thoughts

A baby’s an inestimable blessing and bother.
- Mark Twain
---------------------------------

Through the blur, I wondered if I was alone or if other parents felt the same way I did – that everything involving our children was painful in some way. The emotions, whether they were joy, sorrow, love or pride, were so deep and sharp that in the end they left you raw, exposed and yes, in pain. The human heart was not designed to beat outside the human body and yet, each child represented just that – a parent’s heart bared, beating forever outside its chest.
- Debra Ginsberg
---------------------------------

You can’t scare me. I have children!
- Garfield
---------------------------------

If you want your children to turn out well, spend twice as much time with them and half as much money.
- Abigail Van Buren
---------------------------------

If I had my had my child to raise over again
I’d build self-esteem first and the house later
I’d finger paint more and point the finger less
I would do less correcting and more connecting
I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes
I would care to know less and know to care more
I’d take more hikes and fly more kites
I’d stop playing serious and seriously play
I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars
I’d do more hugging and less tugging
I’d see the oak tree in the acorn more often
I would be firm less often and affirm much more
I’d model less about the love of power
And more about the power of love
- Diane Loomans
